Free Pet Food Pantry in Concord, CA

Thank you to everyone who supported Joybound’s free pet food distribution at the Concord Library and Concord Mobile Dignity Center‘s Unhoused Resource Fair on Thursday, May 14. These community events are an integral part of our mission to keep beloved pets with the families who love them, and out of crowded shelters.

Four women stand together under a tent at a community event. They are wearing casual t-shirts and sunglasses, with one wearing a hat. A banner in the background displays the words "Joyful Rescue" and features drawings of pets.

Through Joybound’s Community Solutions program, Contra Costa County pet guardians can receive a variety of resources from our Pet Safety Net, including free pet food at FoodShare events like this, affordable veterinary care through Community Veterinary Care, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries at Joybound’s clinic and partner clinics, free pet vaccines and microchips, grief support at our free Pet Loss Support Meetings, and connections to helpful resources through our Resource Center.

Thank You to Our Partners

This FoodShare distribution day was made possible through a partnership with the Concord Library and Concord Mobile Dignity Center, as well as our FoodShare sponsor, Purina, who donates thousands of pounds of pet food and litter to Joybound every year.
