Contribute to transforming shelter dogs into life-changing psychiatric service animals and facility animals by becoming a volunteer foster trainer. Over a 15-week period, you’ll provide foundational training and exposure, preparing these dogs for their future roles assisting individuals with invisible disabilities or supporting professionals in facility settings. This unique opportunity not only benefits the dogs but also offers volunteers valuable experience in animal training, with all necessary supplies provided by Joybound.

Discover unique treasures and support a worthy cause at the Joybound Thrift Store, located at 1950 Market Street, Suite H, in Concord, CA. Open Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm, our store offers a wide array of items, including furniture, clothing, books, and home accessories, all at affordable prices. Proceeds from your purchases directly fund our Community Veterinary Care program, which provides quality, affordable veterinary services to low-income pet guardians in Contra Costa County.
Donations of gently-used items are welcome Monday through Saturday between 10 am – 2:30 pm; please call (925) 685-0908 if you have any questions. By shopping or donating, you play a vital role in helping pets receive the care they need, making a positive impact in our community.
