Joybound’s Signature Events
Unleash the LOVE
We celebrate all things LOVE at this annual pet festival and community adoption event, with adorable animals, food trucks, free ice cream, face-painting, music, giveaways, and more. In addition to the dogs and cats available for adoption onsite at Joybound, we’re thrilled host fellow animal rescue groups from across Northern California with their own dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens ready to join loving families.

Joybound Around Town on Broadway
Joybound Around Town on Broadway is an annual opportunity to gather the whole family (including the four-legged family members) to take to the street as we celebrate pets and change the lives of animals in need! One of Joybound’s longest-standing events, this pet festival in Downtown Walnut Creek has been a staple of the community for more than 20 years.
Sponsor benefits can include signage and a booth at the pet walk and festival, highlights on the event website and emails, and much more. Sponsors can create team(s) to encourage team building or playful interdepartmental competition.Â

Unleash Happiness Gala
Formerly known as “Wine & Whiskers,” this popular gala sells out with 400 guests every year! This fundraiser includes high-end wine tastings and delicious hors d’oeuvres from the area’s best restaurants and caterers. Each year the silent auction features unique experiences, wine packages, pet products, and more!
Best of all, this event is never held in a stuffy hotel ballroom like so many other charity galas. The Unleash Hapiness gala is hosted right in the center of our beautiful campus, giving guests a unique, behind-the-scenes look at our lifesaving mission — with plenty of animals to meet along the way.
