Every month, Joybound provides thousands of pounds of free pet food to the community.
With the current crisis of lost SNAP / CalFresh benefits, demand is higher than ever and our pet food pantry is running low!
YOU can ensure no family has to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets.

How Many Pounds Of Pet Food Will You Give?
Remember, all gifts are DOUBLED until Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2, allowing your support to go twice as far.

How FoodShare Impacts Contra Costa County
We believe the best home for a pet is the one they are already in, with familiar surroundings and a family who loves them. That’s the mantra behind Joybound’s extensive programming to provide assistance to pet guardians in need. For those facing the heartbreaking possibility of surrendering their best friend due to financial uncertainty, Community Solutions is able to help thanks to donors like you.

Individuals receive SNAP / CalFresh benefits in Contra Costa County
In addition to individual pet guardians, Joybound’s FoodShare program provides free pet food to crisis and humanitarian organizations across Contra Costa County, connecting their clients with the necessary resources to let them keep their pets happy, healthy, and safe.
This proactive approach allows us to keep countless pets out of already-crowded municipal shelters, allowing existing shelter resources to go further.
Donate to Refill Our Food Pantry
Pets are family — they provide emotional support, comfort, and connection. Ensuring these families can continue to care for their pets preserves both compassion and stability in our community. Every dollar donated provides a pound of pet food, helping families stay together and pets stay nourished, healthy, and at home.
Until #GivingTuesday on December 2, all donations are matched up to $50,000 to maximize the impact of your generosity.
