Our New Laboratory Beagles

Because of compassionate supporters like you, Joybound was able to step forward this week to rescue eight beagles from a research laboratory and welcome them into our care where their journey toward loving homes is just beginning.

These sweet pups are now settling in at Joybound. We’re thrilled to welcome:

• Whistledown
• Penelope
• Violet
• Eloise
• and Sophie Baek

These eight new admissions are receiving medical exams, nourishment, and gentle care as they begin to decompress and prepare for adoption into loving families. Right now, your support is what ensures they receive everything they need — from veterinary care and behavioral support to the comfort and patience that help dogs transition into home life. Your compassion is helping them take their first steps toward brighter futures, and ensures we can continue to respond the moment animals need us.

While they’re here, these beagles will receive medical care, training, enrichment, and a safe, comfortable place to rest until their families find them. Keep an eye on our adoption page to see when these extra-special pups are ready to find their new forever homes!

Laboratory Beagles are purpose bred for research and often spend most of their lives in controlled laboratory environments. We are grateful that this facility made the voluntary decision to end their testing on dogs  and are honored that we are among the partner organizations entrusted with helping these dogs transition into loving homes.
