Concord Cat Lounge Lets Felines to Adopt Be Met in More Relaxed Setting

Thrift store run by Walnut Creek’s Joybound People & Pets (the former ARF) opened space earlier this year

Scratch the see-through metal cages where felines cry throughout the day, hoping to be adopted. Instead of that, a new cat lounge in Concord is giving residents a different way to meet adoptable cats while supporting animal welfare programs across the region.

Operated by Walnut Creek-based Joybound People & Pets, the Cat Lounge & Adoption Center opened this year inside Concord’s newly expanded Joybound Thrift Store at 1950 Market St., Suite I.
