February of 2020, I decided to get myself a Valentine in the form of a dog. After visiting ARF 3 times, I finally met Gigi [formerly Sona]. She was my companion during lockdown and the best hiking buddy. Nowadays, she comes into work with me, schmoozing with my coworkers for snacks, reminding me to take my lunch break, and being the perfect cuddle bug. She has brought me so much joy and comfort in uncertain, shifting times, and I can’t wait to spend many more years with her.
