“We adopted Curry [formerly Branch] in December 2017. A friend who works for ARF posted him on her social media page saying that he was having difficulty finding a home because he had a heart condition. His prognosis was grim–he was only supposed to live a year due to a hole between the chambers of his heart. We decided we could give him the best year EVER and brought him home. Due to fantastic cardiac care and life-prolonging medications he has beaten all of the odds and is still with us and thriving at the age of almost 4. Not a day goes by without him eliciting laughter and smiles. We went into this to give him the best year ever, instead, he has given us more joy than we could have imagined.
