Joybound’s Shelter to Service program exclusively places shelter dogs. After facing an uncertain future in a public shelter, each of the dogs featured here received a second chance when our team took them in.
Our team screens dogs for qualities that will help them excel in training to become psychiatric service dogs. These qualities include focus, confidence, calmness, and response to reward-based training. We treat every dog as an individual and do not consider breed mix as a factor in selection. Each dog is carefully matched with their handler to meet that person’s specific needs and lifestyle.
