Giving Tuesday arrives at a time of year when many of us are reflecting on what matters most: family, community, and the causes that bring people together. It’s also a powerful reminder that even small acts of generosity can create lasting change.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and make an even greater difference for the people and pets who need us most.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Founded in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that takes place each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. What began as a simple idea has grown into a worldwide day of giving that encourages people to support the organizations, communities, and causes they care about most. Today, millions of people participate through donations, volunteering, acts of kindness, and advocacy.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to be part of that impact. Whether it’s a first-time gift, a recurring donation, or simply sharing our mission with others, every act of generosity helps advance our work and support those who rely on it.

You Make Joy Possible

For nonprofits like Joybound, Giving Tuesday is more than a single day on the calendar. It provides critical support that helps organizations meet immediate needs while building momentum for the work ahead. Gifts made during this season can help provide resources, create opportunities, and strengthen programs that make a difference throughout the year.

Just as importantly, Giving Tuesday demonstrates the collective impact of generosity. When individuals come together around a shared purpose, the result is often far greater than any single contribution alone.
