The Animal Rescue Foundation Announces Wandering Wine & Whiskers Fall Fundraiser
Featuring Live Music, Animal Visits, Silent Auction and a New Immersive Experience
WALNUT CREEK, CA, August 15, 2023 – The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Walnut Creek will host its annual fundraiser to benefit the organization’s lifesaving programs. This year, Wine & Whiskers takes guests on an exciting, behind-the-scenes journey to experience the life-changing path animals take as they arrive at ARF on the way to their new families. With stops in the veterinary clinic, grooming room, training fields and more, guests will see firsthand the love and care each animal receives. Guests will also have opportunities to spend some time with ARF’s Pet Hug Pack® therapy animals and adoptable cats and dogs throughout the evening.
“This year’s event gives supporters the opportunity to explore and experience ARF like never before,” said Susan Lee Vick, ARF CEO. “During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the compassion, dedication, and expertise of ARF staff who work tirelessly to save animals’ lives every day. And best of all, those attending will meet many adorable animals, and celebrate the shared joy of the human-animal bond.”
Now in its 20th year, the annual fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 23 at ARF’s headquarters at 2890 Mitchell Drive in Walnut Creek from 5:30-8:30 pm. All proceeds from the event will benefit dogs and cats in need, allowing ARF to continue giving second chances to animals facing uncertain futures and transforming the lives of those who adopt them.
In addition to local wines, craft brews, and hors d’oeuvres, guests will enjoy a silent auction offering unique experiences, including tickets to watch a San Francisco 49ers game from the luxurious comfort of a private VIP Suite at Levi’s Stadium.
General admission tickets for Wine & Whiskers are $100 per person and can be purchased at joybound.org/ww. The event is 21+. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
Those who want to get a jump on the auction fun can participate in online auction bidding, available at betterunite.com/animalrescuefoundation-wanderingwinewhiskers beginning September 15 at 12 pm PT and will continue until Saturday, September 23 at 6:30 pm PT. Event attendance is not required for online auction participation.
