Please email community@joybound.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamp Joybound FAQs\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat happens during Camp Joybound? \n\n\n\nCamp Joybound is a veterinary medicine\, animal care\, and behavior training camp. Campers learn how animals are cared for in a shelter environment\, basic training skills\, and an introduction to veterinary services. There are a variety of sessions throughout each day led by Joybound staff plus lunch and snack breaks.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill my child interact with animals? \n\n\n\nYes\, following safety and care instructions. Throughout sessions\, dogs and cats will be introduced to campers for both skills learning and animal socialization. This is based on camper and animal safety and well-being\, as well as availability. Any camper who interacts inappropriately with Joybound animals will be removed from the situation immediately\, and parent/guardian contacted.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoes my child have to view clinic surgery? \n\n\n\nNo\, campers are not required to view clinic surgery – it is always optional. Camp Joybound includes information\, photos\, and live viewing of animal surgery. We welcome students to try the experience. There are alternate activities for students not wishing to view clinic surgery.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat age range does Camp Joybound accept? \n\n\n\nMost Camp Joybound sessions are for ages 8-14 years old. Please see each session for specific age range. Your tax-deductible donation can cover the adoption fee of a shelter pet and give a family an extra incentive to adopt them. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSPONSOR AN ADOPTION FEE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Included?\n\n\n\nAll animals are spayed or neutered\, current on vaccinations\, microchipped\, de-wormed\, and given flea/tick preventative. Animals are sent home with a welcome home supply of Purina food. Dogs 6 months and older are tested for heartworm\, and all dogs are started on heartworm preventative. Campers learn how animals are cared for in a shelter environment\, basic training skills\, and an introduction to veterinary services. There are a variety of sessions throughout each day led by Joybound staff plus lunch and snack breaks.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill my child interact with animals? \n\n\n\nYes\, following safety and care instructions. Throughout sessions\, dogs and cats will be introduced to campers for both skills learning and animal socialization. This is based on camper and animal safety and well-being\, as well as availability. Any camper who interacts inappropriately with Joybound animals will be removed from the situation immediately\, and parent/guardian contacted.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoes my child have to view clinic surgery? \n\n\n\nNo\, campers are not required to view clinic surgery – it is always optional. Camp Joybound includes information\, photos\, and live viewing of animal surgery. We welcome students to try the experience. There are alternate activities for students not wishing to view clinic surgery.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat age range does Camp Joybound accept? \n\n\n\nMost Camp Joybound sessions are for ages 8-14 years old. Please see each session for specific age range. Your tax-deductible donation can cover the adoption fee of a shelter pet and give a family an extra incentive to adopt them. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSPONSOR AN ADOPTION FEE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Included?\n\n\n\nAll animals are spayed or neutered\, current on vaccinations\, microchipped\, de-wormed\, and given flea/tick preventative. Animals are sent home with a welcome home supply of Purina food. Dogs 6 months and older are tested for heartworm\, and all dogs are started on heartworm preventative. Please email community@joybound.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamp Joybound FAQs\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat happens during Camp Joybound? \n\n\n\nCamp Joybound is a veterinary medicine\, animal care\, and behavior training camp. Campers learn how animals are cared for in a shelter environment\, basic training skills\, and an introduction to veterinary services. There are a variety of sessions throughout each day led by Joybound staff plus lunch and snack breaks.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill my child interact with animals? \n\n\n\nYes\, following safety and care instructions. Throughout sessions\, dogs and cats will be introduced to campers for both skills learning and animal socialization. This is based on camper and animal safety and well-being\, as well as availability. Any camper who interacts inappropriately with Joybound animals will be removed from the situation immediately\, and parent/guardian contacted.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoes my child have to view clinic surgery? \n\n\n\nNo\, campers are not required to view clinic surgery – it is always optional. Camp Joybound includes information\, photos\, and live viewing of animal surgery. We welcome students to try the experience. There are alternate activities for students not wishing to view clinic surgery.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat age range does Camp Joybound accept? \n\n\n\nMost Camp Joybound sessions are for ages 8-14 years old. Please see each session for specific age range. Your tax-deductible donation can cover the adoption fee of a shelter pet and give a family an extra incentive to adopt them. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSPONSOR AN ADOPTION FEE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Included?\n\n\n\nAll animals are spayed or neutered\, current on vaccinations\, microchipped\, de-wormed\, and given flea/tick preventative. Animals are sent home with a welcome home supply of Purina food. Dogs 6 months and older are tested for heartworm\, and all dogs are started on heartworm preventative. Many thrift stores are nonprofit organizations\, using donated items and store sales to support meaningful work in their communities \n\n\n\nWhen you shop or donate at a nonprofit thrift store\, the dollars raised are reinvested back into the community through programs such as healthcare\, housing support\, job training\, education\, food assistance\, Veterans’ services\, and other essential resources. Thrift stores also support sustainability by keeping usable items in circulation and out of landfills\, contributing to a more circular way of consuming \n\n\n\nThis Thrift Store Crawl brings these ideas together by inviting you to visit local thrift shops\, discover new stores\, learn what each one supports\, and see how shopping thoughtfully and donating intentionally can create real\, positive change for both the community and the environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpend $10 at each participating store to earn a sticker.
