6 years old, 24 lbs, El Cerrito.
Henry adores people and the quiet outdoors. He would love a calm home with a family who can make him feel like their child. He will return the favor by being a very affectionate and loyal pet. We adopted Henry when he was eight weeks old from a local rescue. He is currently 6.5 years old and has been in a very responsible pet household since day one: up to date on vaccines, annual vet visits, microchipped, and neutered. We took him to puppy obedience training where he learned to sit, lie down, wait, touch, paw, and leash walk. He is part dachshund, Chihuahua, miniature pincher, keeshond and weighs about 23lbs. He has been in a household with a cat and another dog without issue. We now have a toddler and a newborn, and it breaks our hearts to need to re-home Henry after having him in our lives for so many years, but his anxiety and food guarding are difficult to manage with small children. He is a very playful and loving dog who needs a family without small children that can give him lots of love and attention, does not live in a loud city environment, and is an experienced dog owner.
